<p>The Lower Zambezi Valley is renowned for its breath-taking views and for the abundance of wildlife that lives along the shores of the Zambezi river. This valley hosts both the Lower Zambezi National Park (on the Zambian shores) and Mana Pools National Park (on the Zimbabwean shores) creating a vast protected area where animals are free to roam without boundaries. This area deserves to be visited both by river and by land in order to fully understand the wild beauty of this place. Lower Zambezi National Park is the most recent park in Zambia and one of the wildest and most picturesque in the whole Africa.</p>

From there, we will travel north-east for approximately 350km on a scenic road crossing the mountains (approx. 5 hours) to reach Petauke, where we will lodge at Chimwemwe Executive Lodge. Dinner is at the restaurant of the Lodge.</p>

<p>To reach Mfuwe we will proceed for approximately 350km of tarmac road (approx. 5 hours), passing the capitol of the north-eastern province: Chipata, where we will stop for lunch. Once arrived in Mfuwe, we will check in at Marula Lodge, where we will spend the night Camping in a fully equipped camping area with toilets and hot showers, and if the time allows we will visit the Tribal Textile laboratory. Full board, cooked by the accompanying cook.</p>

In addition to a large population of felines (mostly leopards and lions), it is home of a large number of elephants, hippos, buffaloes and numerous endemic species such as Thorncrofft giraffe, Cookson&rsquo;s wildebeests, Crashway&rsquo;s zebras. The Luangwa river has the highest concentration of hippos per km2 in the whole Africa and offers great reproduction and hunting ground for many animals, such as fish eagles, jackals hyenas, crocodiles and countless birds. Sunsets on the Luangwa river are unforgettable experiences and the visit to this National Park is consider one of the highlights for any true Africa lover.</p>
<p>During your stay, you will have 2 game drives per day and all meals at the camp. Nights will be camping at Marula Lodge with a full-board arrangement, cooked by the accompanying cook.</p>

This area deserves to be visited both by river and by land in order to fully understand the wild beauty of this place. Lower Zambezi National Park is the most recent park in Zambia and one of the wildest and most picturesque in the whole Africa.</p>
<p>Based on the time of your domestic flight, you will be transferred to Lusaka airport and board a small plane to Lower Zambezi National Park, landing at Jeki airstrip (in the heart of the National Park). Here you will be welcomed by the guides of Lower Zambezi Lodge and transferred to the lodge, where you will spend three nights in a chalet facing the Zambezi river. Your stay includes all meals, tea breaks, and one activity of your choice per day:</p>

The Luangwa river has the highest concentration of hippos per km2 in the whole Africa and offers great reproduction and hunting ground for many animals, such as fish eagles, jackals hyenas, crocodiles and countless birds. Sunsets on the Luangwa river are unforgettable experiences and the visit to this National Park is consider one of the highlights for any true Africa lover.</p>

<p>The camp&rsquo;s six traditional-style tents are spacious and en-suite, with indoor and outdoor showers. Solar power is used to heat water, ensuring a lighter environmental footprint.Linking the tents to the main area are teak walkways.</p>
<p>The pool is a fantastic addition especially for those hot summer days. There is a log-pile hide overlooking the waterhole in front of camp which is home to literally a Noah&rsquo;s Ark parade of animals as they come down to quench their thirst.</p>
<p>Little Makalolo is on their own private concession which allows for exciting game drives and walking safaris without the crowds. <p>Situated on the eastern boundary of Mana Pools National Park, Chikwenya is a photographer&rsquo;s paradise as it looks out over an open floodplain and the broad Zambezi River, with a backdrop provided by the mountains of the Rift Valley escarpment.</p>
<p>The camp is surrounded by a dense forest of Albida and Natal Mahogany trees, which provide deep shade in the heat of the day. The Albidas shed their protein-rich pods during the dry season, providing vital sustenance for many species, particularly elephant.</p>
<p>Chikwenya is a seven-tented camp (including two family units). All stand on low wooden decks and pine walkways link them to the raised main area.&nbsp; The lounge, dining and bar area are places of hospitality and relaxation, and a pool and deck offer alternate spaces to enjoy the scenery and passing wildlife.</p>

<p>The camp&rsquo;s six traditional-style tents are spacious and en-suite, with indoor and outdoor showers. Solar power is used to heat water, ensuring a lighter environmental footprint.Linking the tents to the main area are teak walkways.</p>

<p>Early morning wake up call followed by coffee and breakfast at Tuskers before you embark on the +-3.5 to 4.5 hour road transfer through the Moremi Game Reserve to Xobega Island Camp. This is a complete game drive experience as the transfer takes you from Tuskers, into Moremi&rsquo;s Khwai Gate through the reserve along the Khwai riverfront, and stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch. You will arrive at Xakanaxa Boat Station where your guide from Xobega Island Camp will pick you up in a motorboat.</p>
<p>Climb aboard and enjoy the 1.5 hour boat cruise through the Delta waterways to Xobega Island. Arrive to welcome drinks and receive a briefing by the camp host before being shown to your classic canvas safari tent under the trees.</p>
<p>After some refreshments it&rsquo;s time for your sunset boat cruise. Your guide will pack a cooler box with your choice of drinks and you will depart the island and cruise into the sunset.</p>
<p>Enjoy the Delta&rsquo;s beauty and birdlife for a couple of hours before returning to camp for dinner and your first night on Xobega Island.</p>

Sit down and enjoy a good meal, followed by an afternoon siesta, or a spot of birdwatching on the island. High tea is served later in the afternoon and a sunset cruise complete with sundowners awaits to end the day.</p>

After breakfast, you&rsquo;re back out on the water for a 1.5 hour boat cruise transfer from Xobega to Xakanaxa Boat Station, where you will switch to a game viewer and be transferred to Xakanaxa Airstrip to connect with your light air transfer to Savuti.</p>

<p>Upon arrival at Maun Airport, your host from Tuskers Bush Camp will meet you and drive you the 1.5 hour journey to the lodge, where it is located in a vast 365 000 hectare private concession. Settle in and enjoy the view with some refreshments before departing for a evening game drive via the private road network. Enjoy sundowners at a scenic spot in the bush and a short night drive back to camp where a campfire will be waiting to welcome you.</p>

<p>An early wake up call will be met with coffee and rusks at the main area of camp before you depart on a morning game drive or optional bush walk through the pristine Tuskers concession. A guided walking safari through this exclusive region will bring you closer to the details of nature, while you might be lucky enough to encounter big game on foot.</p>
<p>After your morning activity, return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by an afternoon siesta. Spend some time with a pair of binoculars overlooking the waterhole in front of camp and enjoy the presence of wildlife and birdlife around camp. Lunch will be served later in the day before you depart on afternoon game drive, including sundowners and a night drive back to camp.</p>

<p>Early morning wake up call followed by coffee and breakfast at Tuskers before you embark on the +-3.5 to 4.5 hour road transfer through the Moremi Game Reserve to Xobega Island Camp. This is a complete game drive experience as the transfer takes you from Tuskers, into Moremi&rsquo;s Khwai Gate through the reserve along the Khwai riverfront, and stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch. You will arrive at Xakanaxa Boat Station where your guide from Xobega Island Camp will pick you up in a motorboat.</p>
<p>Climb aboard and enjoy the 1.5 hour boat cruise through the Delta waterways to Xobega Island. Arrive to welcome drinks and receive a briefing by the camp host before being shown to your classic canvas safari tent under the trees.</p>
<p>After some refreshments it&rsquo;s time for your sunset boat cruise. Your guide will pack a cooler box with your choice of drinks and you will depart the island and cruise into the sunset.</p>
<p>Enjoy the Delta&rsquo;s beauty and birdlife for a couple of hours before returning to camp for dinner and your first night on Xobega Island.</p>

<p>Remember your camera and sun block, as you will be out on the water until late morning.</p>
<p>Upon returning to camp, you are welcome to have a warm bucket shower and refresh before lunch is served in the dining tent. Sit down and enjoy a good meal, followed by an afternoon siesta, or a spot of birdwatching on the island. High tea is served later in the afternoon and a sunset cruise complete with sundowners awaits to end the day.</p>
<p>After your sunset cruise, return to camp to enjoy the campfire and a 3-course dinner before tuning in for your last night on Xobega Island.</p>

<p>Wake up early to coffee and breakfast in the dining tent on Xobega Island before departing the Delta and heading for the Savuti. After breakfast, you&rsquo;re back out on the water for a 1.5 hour boat cruise transfer from Xobega to Xakanaxa Boat Station, where you will switch to a game viewer and be transferred to Xakanaxa Airstrip to connect with your light air transfer to Savuti.</p>

<p>Camp Savuti guide will be waiting to meet you. You will then enjoy a 30-minute transfer through the park to Camp Savuti, located on the banks of the Savuti Channel.</p>
<p>Receive a warm welcome and a briefing from your host before having lunch and settling in to your tented room.</p>
<p>Later on in the afternoon you can enjoy a sunset game drive including a sundowner stop at a designated stretch point in the park and enjoy being surrounded by the famous Savuti! Head back to camp and refresh before dinner.</p>

<p>High tea is served at the lodge later in the afternoon and is followed by an afternoon game drive complete with sundowners in the bush. As the sun sets, return to camp and enjoy the open-air campfire and a special dinner out on the deck under the stars.</p>
